Thirtieth Day
One story idea i think that Mr. Reeves should tell is a story about a teenage boy who just got a job as a driver for a pizza place, and one of his stops was at a place that was in the middle of nowhere and the house that he was supposed to give the pizza too looked abandoned.
This was my final story for the month so I tried to make it fun. I played around with the idea of a new driver and practical jokes. The other drivers betting on him to fail or succeed was fun and the rite of passage to become a full fledged Pizza delivery driver. I have loved all of the different prompts and I hope to do this all again soon. What do you think?

Twenty-ninth Day
This picture gave me a lot of ideas as I looked at it. At first I thought of a road in some undeveloped country and a bus making a perilous journey. I wanted to bring the story back here and instead of a bus I would make it an RV. The characters would be a mother and daughter and the stuff on top of the RV would be garage sale treasures. That's what I started with and then I just had fun writing about their adventures. I could see this as a series of stories each exploring a new and different place. What do you think?

Twenty-eighth Day
My name is John Doe and I have been alone for almost 5 years now and I live in a abandoned warehouse. I am known to be a criminal for over a decade or since 1929 and it is 1939. I believe that the police are going to come after me and take me to the famous prison Alcatraz. But luckily they don't know where I am and if I go somewhere different I could be caught. It is also time to get some rest. When I woke up this morning I was on a boat in the cold water so fell asleep because I felt so tired. I woke up again and I was in the cell 133 in the B- block.
I liked this prompt. I couldn't tell what was going on here but my first thoughts were that this man was always in his cell, he was just letting his mind wander. So that is the direction I took. He was dreaming of the outside while stuck in the place he feared the most. I like the idea of traveling in your mind and imagination and will use this again in another story sometime. Maybe not such dark story. What do you think?

Twenty-seventh Day
On a stormy dark night with a full moon outside a kid named John starts seeing these weird things going around the house. But he thinks it is just the wind and he tries to go to bed but then something knocks on his bedroom door when his parents are out for the night and out of sight.
I wrote this story as a home alone story but added a twist. I wanted to add history so that the reader would have a sense of what happened long ago. I put it on an island to increase the feeling of being alone. There was a tragedy added for interest. I tried to show that a place can have happy memories as well as sad. I think I followed the direction of the prompt with this one. What do you think?

Twenty-sixth Day
This story was your basic "Haunted House" story. I wrote it by adding the strange history of the place and then what they are doing with it now. It may have been more interesting if I would have used characters to tell the story and of their experiences there. Instead I just wrote it like a newspaper article. Like most newspaper articles I think my story would make a good prompt and starting point for a more in depth story. What do you think?

Twenty-fifth Day
There's a farm with a family on it the mom the dad and the two brothers and a dog they own lots of animals and down near the river there are lots of trees and every once in awhile the brothers go down. They hear animal noises that they can't identify, there is lots of plant down there so it could be anything and they always find fur on broken branches ten feet in the air but the footprints are on the ground they always get on the track of it and their dog is chasing and they reach the river and it is gone.
This prompt reminded me of a "Big Foot" story right from the start so that's the way I proceeded. I liked the idea of the two brothers trying to determine what it was and each one using their particular strengths to find it. Of course I had to put in the hoax idea and finish it with the brothers being grateful of the time they spent together. It wasn't a story that I had to think about very much, I just had to put the pieces in place. What do you think?

Twenty-fourth Day
There is a boy that gets dreams every night about his family’s past eventually he will uncover mysteries about who his parents really are.
I started this story by trying to imagine what he was dreaming about. I thought that it had to be something scary so that it would have an impact on the reader and keep them interested. I liked the idea about the family's past and tried to stay with that. I didn't really follow the prompt because you never find out "who his parents really are", but he did discover a family mystery. I am usually able to bring it all together in the end but I didn't want to make the ending go a different direction just to match the prompt. What do you think?

Twenty-third Day
I could have written a story about a bad storm and a tornado in the usual way, but I wanted to make it more interesting, so I wrote it as a letter home. The picture is present day since it has power poles and wires but I thought an old west story would be fun to write so I wrote the letter as if I was a cowboy years ago. The weather doesn't change. We still have these types of storms so I thought it would be fun to compare the past with present. It wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, writing a story from two perspectives is always a challenge but I think with some modifications to the ending it could be good. What do you think?

Twenty-second Day
THE FLICKERING LIGHT
One night an exotic girl was wandering outside when suddenly sees a light flickering beyond belief. So, she went towards the light when suddenly she hears her mother calling her inside for dinner. Since it was dark out she couldn't see a thing and so she decided that she would skip dinner for that night, but her mother insisted on it. So she went back to the house and while her mom and dad were asking her about school and how it went, all she could do was stare at the still flickering light. Her mom and dad put her to sleep and sang her the usual lullaby but still curious she wondered about the flickering light. Right at midnight she wandered downstairs and outside into the blizzard like cold night, still staring at the flickering light. As she went out and sat there she saw a girl there too, and boys and even more girls staring at the flickering light.
This was a story where I would once again use some of the plot twists from movies I remember watching when I was growing up. They were alien movies where the aliens took control of the people here on earth to invade and take control. There was always one person who knew what was going on but nobody would believe them until it was too late. This story doesn't really have an ending as I wrote it. It is more like a chapter of a book where there is more to come. It wasn't as original as some of my stories have been, but I think it could be worked into something. What do you think?

Twenty-first Day
You were walking home from school and a bunch of bullies started chasing you and you ran into the woods and got lost.
I started this story as an "out smart the bullies" story. I added back story so that you would understand what the main character was going through and then started to tell what happened on a specific day. I liked the idea of the main character going into the woods and being followed by the bullies. Then turning the tables on them and escaping. I wanted to show how the main character could use his brain to get through the situation and get a certain level of revenge without really doing anything. The ending may be to short for some, but I wanted to leave open the various possibilities of what happened to the bully. Was it believable? I don't know. It's always the wish of a victim to get back at his or her harasser and it is the kind of story that gives them hope. What do you think?

Twentieth Day

I have to say that I wouldn't have chosen this picture prompt to start one of my stories, but I had to come up with something. I looked beyond the obvious when I started. There was a chicken of course and a girl or maybe a boy, it was hard to tell and then there was the cigarette. The picture was taken in a studio of some sort since you can see what looks like a cloth backdrop behind them. I had to determine why this picture was taken in the first place. Was it just to be different? What would the caption have been? I started to write about the boy and his family first and then brought in the chickens. The cigarette would be the last thing I would add. It was going to be a strange story but I wanted it to be believable some how. I started putting "words on a page" and just played with the characters until I had written the story. I think I met my goal. What do you think?

Nineteenth Day
So it started as any other Saturday but today was different, my mom gave me money to go buy new shoes, which was kinda odd considering I got some 3 days ago. But I went and got nice new black Nikes with the white edges. When I put them on everything was normal until I jumped, I jumped over a puddle but then I started to...
Today's prompt was fun. I was able to let my imagination run wild. I thought about what it would be like to have "Super Shoes" and to try them out for the first time. I went back to the cartoons I saw as a kid years ago and added that into my story. I also thought about movies that I remembered from my childhood where drinking a secret potion gives you super human powers. I ended it with an alien slant and the idea that it wasn't the shoes after all, but a power that the character had all along. As I said it was fun. What do you think?
